Does tomcat4 do logging cleanup

Does tomcat4 do logging cleanup, such as removing accumulated backup logs and trimming the catalina.out log?  
Where may I find documentation on how this is done?  How do I configure the parameter that controls the amount of disk
space dedicated to this task?
