[jira] Created: (CXF-1454) SoapArrayType.writeValue and StringType will NPE for a null in a non-nillable string

SoapArrayType.writeValue and StringType will NPE for a null in a non-nillable string
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: CXF-1454
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CXF-1454
             Project: CXF
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Build system
    Affects Versions: 2.1
            Reporter: Benson Margulies
            Assignee: Dain Sundstrom

If writeValue gets a null-valued string for a non-nillable string type (a situation I accidently provoked), it will NPE.

Arguably, this is a problem with StringType, which should write out "" for a null if the situation is non-nullable. or even the JDOMWriter.

JDOMWriter.writeValue(Object) line: 39
StringType.writeObject(Object, MessageWriter, Context) line: 41
SoapArrayType.writeValue(Object, MessageWriter, Context, Type) line: 326
SoapArrayType.writeObject(Object, MessageWriter, Context) line: 304
ObjectType.writeObject(Object, MessageWriter, Context) line: 193
TrailingBlocks.writeBlocks(MessageWriter, Context) line: 147
SoapArrayTypeTest(AbstractEncodedTest).writeRef(Object) line: 156
