[jira] [Updated] (SOLR-8991) UI: Ping option doesn't update menu with response time if it's 0ms

Hoss Man updated SOLR-8991:
---------------------------
    Description:
The ping menu option for a core doesn't provide any useful feedback to hte user what it's doing when the ping response time is 0ms.

  was:
The ping menu option for a core doesn't provide any useful feedback to hte user what it's doing (if anything).

In the old UI it would display the #ms that the ping command took, but in the new UI it seems to do the query i nthe background, but never indicate that it succeeded.

Summary: UI: Ping option doesn't update menu with response time if it's 0ms (was: UI: Ping option doesn't update menu with response time)

updated summary & description, problem is much narrower in scope then i originally assumed.
