[jira] [Commented] (LEGAL-391) Usage of "Maven"?

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-391?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16532018#comment-16532018 ]

Roman Shaposhnik commented on LEGAL-391:
----------------------------------------

Just by itself - maven is a pretty common noun and as such can't be trademarked. Of course, if the other trademarks are for services/products that are close enough to the original Apache Maven (is a software project management and comprehension tool) we have to take it seriously, but I don't think this is the case for the ones you linked to.
