bad utf8 error

i imported a bunch of pages from my wiki into a couch 1.0 database
if i do this
http://127.0.0.1:5984/tyler_kenneth_3109/ee61c397a28bdca6a9cb984215f04d96
i get back the json
if i try to touch the page in futon i get
error: ucs

{bad_utf8_character_code}

anybody know what i have to strip out of the text ?
