so I've been thinking about this.

1) this could happen with any files that get created by SA if the default paths are changed.  so AWL, 
Bayes, etc.

2) it sounds like you're running the daemon as root, and then calling it as nobody (or calling as root 
which fails back to nobody)?  if so, why not just run the daemon as nobody and that solves this 
problem?
