Two problems with SA 2.63
I'm running a small hobby domain and using SA 2.63 on FreeBSD 4.9
RELEASE, and I have two problems I'm hoping I can resolve with list
help.
1) I run Postfix 2.019, and I feed mail to a filter script (owned and
run by a user named "filter") that calls spamassassin (not spamd and
spamc - it's a very low volume site for mail) and puts spam in a
directory (/var/spool/spam/). (Ham goes back to Postfix for delivery.)
For some reason, bayes quit working, and I can't figure out why. If I
su to filter and run spamassassin -D --lint, it includes a bayes score
in the output. If I then run a test message through spamassassin using
-D, it also shows the bayes score. Yet none of the emails quarantined
has any bayes score. I originally couldn't get bayes working, and after
troubleshooting I discovered that the permissions on the bayes dbs were
wrong. (Filter didn't have read access.) I've rechecked that
(obviously), but still no joy.
I'm sure I'm missing something trivial. I just don't know what it is.
I'm open to suggestions. :-)
2) I created a file named bad_domains.cf, and I put urls from the
message body in there. The format I'm using is:
uri CREDIT_CHECK /creditbozos\.com/I
score CREDIT_CHECK 5
But I don't see *any* of the entries showing up in the header field
"X-Spam-Report". I've read the docs over and over ( both man and doc)
and I've googled like crazy. I think I'm doing it right, but they still
don't show up. What am I missing here?

Change that ending I to an i (lower case) and you should be fine.
Next time check spamassassin --lint:
spamassassin --lint
Bareword found where operator expected at (no file), rule CREDIT_CHECK,
line 1, near "/creditbozos\.com/I"
(Missing operator before I?)
Failed to compile URI SpamAssassin tests, skipping:
(syntax error at (no file), rule CREDIT_CHECK, line 1, near
"/creditbozos\.com/I"
