MIA graphs

In the MIA book, there were graphs that showed how well a particular
recommender/similarity algorithm performed. Any chance someone could
tell me how to do that fancy stuff?

Later diagrams in the classifier section were created using Omnigraffle.
 Again, nothing too fancy.

Which graph are you referring to?
I made them in PowerPoint if I recall correctly, nothing too exotic.
