Could someone please advise?
I've just installed Jakarta exactly according to the instructions for installing Jakarta in Apache on Redhat Linux 6.2 on a Dell Intel box. I'm getting the following error in mod_jserv.log
[22/12/1999 11:32:43:082] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: can not connect to host 127.0.0.1:8007
[22/12/1999 11:32:43:082] (EMERGENCY) ajp12: connection fail
[22/12/1999 11:32:43:082] (ERROR) an error returned handling request via protocol "ajpv12"
Problem is, I don't know what to do about it. In my old JSERV/GNUJSP setup, this means that mod_jserv.so can't launch ApacheJServ.jar. But as I understand it, there IS no JSERV in Jakarta.
So what is mod_jserv trying to launch then, and what config file is it using to find it? The instructions were quite vague on what config files are used and how apache locates them.
For example, my httpd.conf includes
Include /tomcat/etc/tomcat.conf
But tomcat.conf doesn't mention the other files in the etc directory. So how are they located.
Most of all, how do make this thing work?
