short question about revision keywords

  in reading the subversion book, i wanted to make sure i understood the
meaning of a couple of the revision keywords.  given that BASE is the
revision of the pristine copy of an item, and COMMITTED is the last
revision for which this item changed (at or before BASE), i'm assuming
it's safe to conclude that the COMMITTED and the BASE revisions of an item
would be identical, yes?

  and if that's the case, if i'm doing some "svn diff" operations, it 
would seem to make no difference if i'm diffing against either or those 
two keywords, is that correct?

  just being pedantic.

p.s.  it would seem that there's not much value to the COMMITTED revision 
keyword, except as a context in which to define PREV.  but i'm willing to
be enlightened.  thanks.
