how to generate multiple output files
hello,
how would i go about generating several output files(ie HTML) from a single
xml and xsl source? i just need someone to point me in the right direction.
and also the other way as well. i have several XML files that i would like
to tranform into one bigger XML file. is there a way to do this in Xalan?

RE: how to generate multiple output files
Posted by Silvan Greverus <si...@greverus.de>.
Hello,
I have written a small tool to split the output of XALAN (or any other XSLT processor) into multiple files. It is no real solution but it may help until there is XSLT 1.1. The version attached is a port to Standard C++ (the original program is written using a special library).
To try it do the following:
* Compile xsplit.cpp. For Windows there is a .dsw file included - for other platforms you have to write your own makefile.
* Transform test.xml using test.xsl - for example:
testxslt -in test.xml -xsl test.xsl -out test.out
* Use xsplit to split test.out:
xsplit test.out
This wiil generate two HTML files (file1.html and file2.html). File names are relative to the input file - in this case test.out.
I hope this little tool is of some help. Please let me know if there are questions or suggestions.
