Apache2 crashs and can not be closed from task manager until reboot
Summary: Apache2 crashs and can not be closed from task manager
until reboot
Product: Apache httpd-2.0
Version: 2.0.47
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: Critical
Priority: Other
Component: All
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: spam@come.no-ip.com
Apache2 crashes randomly but stays in memory and can not be killed from task
manager. Only reboot helps. Also this could happend on Apache restart/stop.
It seems that Apache kills "child" process but cant kill "main" apache process
(when apache runs, in task manager it shows two apache processes)
and nothing can kill it untill restart computer.
I did clean install entire system,
and installed Apache 2.0.47 without installing anything else (exept PHP,
MySQL). Nothing helped, Apache2 most of the times
restarts/stops with no problem, but sometimes, stops responding.
P.S. My Apache service runs under a user, not under "SYSTEM" user.
P4
WindowsXP Pro SP1
Apache 2.0.47 (no SSL, all default modules)
PHP 4.3.3 RC2
MySQL 4
