OK... it was just that the list was entitled "isis-committers"... you
can see my confusion.

this list represents only the wiki rights. No others have this permission so far. The committers list is a completely different one. Mike has his iCLA on file now [1], so all is ok.
Also having James on the list doesn't hurt. Maybe he finds a bit time to help us in the future...

1. James resigned as a mentor, so should he be removed?
2. you have Mike there too. Although I'd be happy for him to be a
committer, I thought that a formal vote was required?
3. on the other hand, I think Mike (and Vango, and perhaps Sabine?) do
have wiki edit permissions. Would it be useful to catalog the two
different levels of contributor permissions?
4. the above information doesn't tally with [1]... how is [1]
maintained, and who should update it?
5. on [1], Uli is mentioned. When we did our project proposal, he said
he was interested in doing a Tapestry viewer. Apart from setting up our
wiki, he hasn't contributed since; so I'm not quite sure what his status is.

First, thanks Bernd for catching it. In fact I was not sure if this is needed because we also maintain a site and xdocs, etc... But having an iCLA on file is always the safe bet!
Off to work: I'm currently checking :)
The following people are part of the group isis-committers:
Benson Margulies
Dan Haywood
David Slaughter
James Carman
Kevin Meyer
Mike Burton
Mohammad Nour El-Din
Robert Matthews
Mark Struberg
Alexander Krasnukhin
Looks like all of those are either members, committers or have an iCLA on file. But I miss Sigi on this list, have added him now ;)

Mark,
per Bernd's comment, did you grant wiki access to Vango (or anyone else)
who might not have filled in an ICLA?
Cheers

If Isis uses cwiki for it's project documentation, please request an
ICLA from the contributor, according to the cwiki editing rules.
see https://cwiki.apache.org/CWIKI/ , especially:
Q: If we use the wiki to maintain project documentation, are there any
special considerations?
Q: But what if we would like the community at large to help maintain the space?
Thanks,
Bernd
