Sorry, I thought this was waiting on the Avro change so I hadn't been looking at it.
Has anyone validated the 1.11.0 version of Parquet? I haven't heard of anyone running it in production. Because we are using reflection here, Parquet is harder to swap out with your own version because we would require code changes. That means it's riskier to publish an Iceberg release that depends on Parquet 1.11.0.
What about keeping the current reflection code and adding a new alternative so that we can work with both versions? Then people can roll back if 1.11.0 is problematic.
