This was incidentally fixed during some other changes.  BuilderFactory.java revision 1.12 contains the fix (which extended the try block to enclose obtaining the value as well as updating the property).

Description:
If the BuidlerFactory is unable to set a property (say, because you forgot to provide a setter method), the error location should be taken from the correspond set-service, set-configuration, etc. element.

Currently, no location is reported.
