We waited for the official release of Ant 1.6 and the restriction is still 
there. It would be _very_ usefull to be able to call our own ant tasks in the 
global section of the build.xml. A kind of a configuration procedure you want 
to apply to every targets without having to "depends" on it everywhere. Like 
the proerty or taskdef tasks.
