I have tried to do a workaround using css to get passed this bug, because it is preventing me from upgrading to newer versions (1.1.0+) of MyFaces. 

I am able to remove the lines by making the the same color as the background, but still i get the spaces (meant to make room for the separator and text), so it doesn't help.

Does anyone know of a usable work around for this bug?
