It might cause problems with m2e if you delete the folder outside of
eclipse. Eclipse doesn't know the files have changed, so you need to
manually right click 'Maven' -> 'Update Project Configuration'

Nope - my general preference is to not include stuff that isn't
required, that's all. And this sounds like an IDE-specific issue
(Idea doesn't flag this as an issue), so that's kinda strange.
I don't mind keeping it in - it's just kind of weird to me. :)

Funny :) I was wondering why it only showed up now, didn't bother to
check logs. Just needed for m2eclipse plugin, it flags it as an issue
if the folder's missing. Does the existence of the folder cause
trouble?
