[Roller-JIRA] Updated: (ROL-1500) When select to edit his/her
profile user is not asked to re-enter password.

David Johnson updated ROL-1500:
-------------------------------
Assignee: David Johnson (was: Roller Unassigned)
I think the UI is behaving correctly because we don't want to force users to re-enter their password when they change their profile, but I do agree we could make things more intuitive.
How about this:
- When editing an existing entry, we'll display stars (*****) in the password field
- If the user doesn't change the password, we display "Password unchanged message" after save
> When select to edit his/her profile user is not asked to re-enter password.

> Key: ROL-1500

> Project: Roller
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: User Management
> Affects Versions: 4.0
> Environment: glassfish/winXP
> Reporter: Davis Nguyen
> Assignee: David Johnson
>
> User should be required to re-enter password when edit his profile, or a warning message pops up to indicate no password change happened instead of leaving password field as blank which is mis-interpreted as having non password set.
> STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
> 1. Install glassfish V2 with Sun custom roller build (07/17/2007)
> 2. Start Roller > register a new user (j2eetest user)
> 3. Login as j2eetest user > select edit user profile
> Change the screen name but leave other fields intact > click Save button
> BUG:
> Because of blank password field allowed I was mis understood that j2eetest do not have password anymore.
