Notification on cache flush

I'm evaluating JCS and I'm specifically interested in a certain feature. In my scenario, the objects that are cached can be modified and so I want to be notified when an object gets flushed/purged from the cache. I need this notification so that I can save its content. Does anyone know if this is possible with JCS?
