[jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-6515) VMware: Only updating chain_info in volumes table when VM is started

Mike Tutkowski created CLOUDSTACK-6515:
------------------------------------------

Summary: VMware: Only updating chain_info in volumes table when VM is started
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-6515
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-6515
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: VMware
    Affects Versions: 4.4.0
Environment: Ubuntu 12.04 for CloudStack Management Server (only one in this config)
Two ESXi 5.1 hosts
            Reporter: Mike Tutkowski
             Fix For: 4.4.0

>From an e-mail I sent out to the CloudStack distribution list:

Is it a problem that we only ever update the chain_info column in the volumes table after a VM has successfully been started?

For example, if I take a VM snapshot and then examine this column, it is not up to date.
