Here is the jar file. I built it myself using the description in the tinyurl link above.

Unfortunately I couldn't compile the jdk1.1 version since I don't have the old Collection classes, but I doubt anybody will ever need them anymore.

I've found a collections.jar on my disk (uses jdom in it's JDK-1.1 mode).
So if you download jdom-b8.(tar.gz|zip) from http://jdom.org/dist/binary/,
you'll find it under jdom-b8/lib.
