[jira] [Commented] (UIMA-3024) CASDumpWriter is sensitive to type system changes

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-3024?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13964093#comment-13964093 ]

Richard Eckart de Castilho commented on UIMA-3024:
--------------------------------------------------

Looks like this may also cause problems with building on Java 8. Apparently, Java 8 produces different iteration orders than Java 6 or 7.

> When the type system changes, the order of annotations with the same offsets can change in the CASDumpWriter. This is how the UIMA iterators work "by-design" when no type priorities are defined, but it is still annoying. Maybe an option to enforce a "sort by type name"?
