[users@httpd] bad view of txt file in tomcat 4.1 30

I'm having a noising problem viewing text file.
When i read for the first time a text file in Tomcat (using a url that
point to this file) i see all the data as a long snake: then I use F5 to
refresh and all is good.
This happens only for txt not for pdf.
Can anybody help me?
