Avro C API - Handing of Default values

Hi,

there was a mail (thread) last year on adding default value support to
Avro-C:

, I haven't found anything on the topic since then, and default values are
still missing from Avro-C.

Is there any plan for that or work ongoing? If someone is working on it I
would gladly join in, otherwise I would like to do it based on the mail
from last year.
