No, Irix 6.3 will not run Irix 5.3 COFF binaries.  If you try, you will
get a "Wrong Architecture" message.  It will run Irix 5.3 ELF binaries
though.  I have the native compiler on an Irix 5.3 box, but not on the
6.3.  I can compile an ELF binary on 5.3 and move it over to 6.3 and get a
start on compiling gcc for 6.3, but I was hoping to avoid the hassle if
someone out there had an installable pre-built gcc for 6.3.
