Wait a minute
Somebody please explain this:
$ Configure
Using config file: Configuration
Using Makefile template file: Makefile.tmpl
+ configured for HP-UX platform
$ make
gcc -c -g -DHPUX -Aa -D_HPUX_SOURCE -DSTATUS -Wall alloc.c
*Initialization*:1: missing token-sequence in `#assert'
*** Error code 1
Stop.
I don't like Apache making assumptons about what compiler I'm
using. Anyone using the built-in HP-UX compiler should be shot,
anyway. Please remove whatever change caused this to happen. Now.

It is the HI-UX changes Jim committed. They test CC before it is set if
you don't explicitly specify a compiler. I mailed him a few minutes ago
asking him to fix...
