changes and todo for documents?

Hi!
Is there a way to use

<changes label="Document history" href="changes.html"
          description="History of Changes" />
<todo label="Todo" href="todo.html"  description="Todo List" />

just for my documents, i.e. place them in xdocs
to describe the current state of the document?
Simply copying them there doesn't work :-(
