[struts2]: maturity / production experience ?
Hi,
We've been using webwork, and naturally we're considering migration to struts2.
However, we are slight concerned about maturity and "real-life production experience" of struts2 (Our company has very limited resources, and we can't afford the risk of using "experimental/beta versions". We stick with well-tested tools).
We'd appreciate it if people could help with the following:
1. Have you used struts2 in production, and did you feel it was mature and stable?
Naturally, all tools (even old ones) have bugs and missing features; it's okay as long as there's general stability and no "show stoppers".
2. Would you happen to know when struts2 was released as "stable" version ? we couldn't find documentaion on the site.
Thanks !

* http://struts.apache.org/announce.html#a20070223
Version 2.0.6 was the first GA, but there have been two GA release
since then. Version 2.0.9 is the best available release.
Essentially, Struts 2 is WebWork 3. We started with the actual WW 2
codebase and added new features, like plugins. But, the core codebase
is the same as WW 2.x.

Can you describe more about what is it that the AJAX theme is not mature?
Maybe I should consider to use DOJO manually?

We used it.
It's AJAX theme is not very mature, the rest is.
If you know how to use DOJO manually - you're pretty safe.

Yes we got it working on production, works fine, there
are tiny little areas you need to work out,
What we did was struts2 portlets, which is one step
ahead to the applications,
Looks good so far,
But have a look at the bug I raised recently. Look
for the forum.
Other than that, with thorough testing it is ready to
go to production.
