Getting the DataStream API walkthrough running in Eclipse is challenging. This walkthrough is in the docs at https://ci.apache.org/projects/flink/flink-docs-release-1.11/try-flink/datastream_api.html

A user couldn't figure it out -- stackoverflow.com/questions/63659566/apache-flink-not-able-to-resolve-imports/63667067 -- and neither can I.

Perhaps our maven archetype needs to be adjusted to make things easier for Eclipse users.
