I trust this will be renamed/rebranded further to just "svnbench" (no
hyphen) for consistency with the rest of the SVN binary tool chain, right?

If it is a rarely used tool, which is already shipped in the location where it used to be... Why did we decide to move it?

Do we want more packagers to ship it?
In that case those packagers didn't before, and I don't see why we can't change the name for them.

(I noticed that FreeBSD started installing the 'diff', 'diff3', etc. tools though.. But with 'svn-' prefix.

We never promised stability and compatibility for this tool before promoting it.

...
Then...

Perhaps 'svn-' is a better prefix for the tools that aren't supposed to be used directly by any ordinary user...

Fedora is already shipping svn-bench. I wouldn't be surprised if others are as
well. mucc had to be changed because it lacked any sort of svn prefix. I
don't see the value in changing the name of a rarely used tool just to remove a
hyphen.

Define "published". I don't see svn-bench installed on my Subversion
1.8 system. We renamed "mucc" to "svnmucc" when we promoted it to
first-class binary status after it had already been "published" in the
'tools' area in *several* minor release streams.

Would love to, but that tool has already been published
under this name in 1.8 :/
