Karl Wright resolved CONNECTORS-824.
------------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
There are better ways to address this issue than adding funky file support to the jdbc connector.
> For files, support file path index

>
> Key: CONNECTORS-824
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CONNECTORS-824
> Project: ManifoldCF
> Issue Type: Wish
> Components: JDBC connector
> Affects Versions: ManifoldCF 1.4.1
> Environment: When connect database tables, fetch the binary files from the table.

> For most Content Management System, binary files such as office format attachment, zip files are not stored as CLOB or BLOB in DB. They usually stored as a binary file in the filesystem or a NAS system, even urls for cloud file system, And stored the path in the {file_path} column on db's table. So if manifold could support a general api to get different store implementation would better. The only cms I knew stores file as CLOB is SharePoint. Most popular cms such as Wordpress doesn't use that solution.
