I've had no problems using any JSTL-tags with TC 4.1.x (except for 4.1.19 which 
generated invalid code when nesting tags). Did you verify this is not due other 
tags which do not handle tag-pooling correctly ? Can you provide a simple JSP 
which demonstrates the wrong behaviour ?
