I think the substance of the suggestion was to remove the <taskdef 
name="xjavac"...> line from build.xml, and replace all instances of the 
token "xjavac" with "javac".  You could also extract Xerces from CVS; no build 
script modifications are then necessary.  

BTW:  the DOM AS interfaces have been deprecated for a while; you should 
probably try and avoid using them for new development.  See 
http://xml.apache.org/xerces2-j/faq-grammars.html for an alternative.
