No, that is not the problem.  Take a look at the attachment I included with the
original bug report, above.

This screenshot shows the Mail Merge Wizard window in the foreground, showing
the step within the wizard where the problem occurs (6. Edit Document).

Behind this window is one of the documents, showing the problem: there is a gap
between "27 Foxhurst Road" and "Ash Vale", where a cell within the source
address list contains no value.

If the document is being presented for editing then this space should already
have been omitted, as it will be when the document is finally printed.  This
is, however, too late!
