[jira] [Commented] (DIRKRB-173) A Zookeeper based high reliable & performance identity backend

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRKRB-173?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14364307#comment-14364307 ]

Kiran Ayyagari commented on DIRKRB-173:
---------------------------------------

I am curious, what is the usecase that requires this backend. I would personally prefer to choose a backend that has low footprint in size and maintenance wise. For the same reason I don't even prefer any RDBMS as a backend. They are just bloated and doesn't fit the purpose.
KDC data is sensitive and I prefer to use a plain key-value DB to store them rather than any other heavy machinery.

No intention of discouraging, just wondering if this effort is misdirected.
