I seem to have the same problem with:
- Cordova CLI 8.1.2
- Cordova lib 8.1.1
- Cordova Android 8.0.0
- Android SDK build tools 29.0.0
Cannot build a release version, passwords entered seem to be ignored, getting error _Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect_
