[jira] [Commented] (IVY-1291) Keep older versions of ivy binaries for download

Maarten Coene commented on IVY-1291:
------------------------------------

Old versions of Ivy are available here: http://archive.apache.org/dist/ant/ivy/
Perhaps we should add this link on the download page.

> I've included code in my build files to automatically download ivy if it isn't already available on the target system. For this I had to hard-code the ivy version into the download URL, it was 2.1.0 back then. Now 2.2.0 is around, and what is worse, the 2.1.0 downloads are no longer available from http://www.apache.org/dist/ant/ivy/
> Of course I could mirror ivy versions on my own web server. But I guess I might not be the only one who would benefit from having older versions available indefinitely. So the apache hosts would seem the ideal place to keep older versions as well. It is somewhat strange that the online documentation for older versions is readily available, but their downloads are not. Usually it is the other way round.
