Please upload the server.xml. Also open your server.file in an editor
that can show special characters, if you found something wrong in that

Seems that the line 38 of your server.xml file is not being read as part of the lines 36 & 37. Causing the error
SEVERE: Parse Fatal Error at line 38 column 67: The string "--" is not permitted within comments..
For having a working secure layer (using a self signed certificate running) in Windows run this command.
"%JAVA_HOME%\bin\keytool" -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA
In that way the secure port 443 (or 8443) will have the certificate in place and could work the secure http connections. Check https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-7.0-doc/ssl-howto.html

Yes, the credential remains same. Please share the tomcat log file
(Catalina.out).
Also, make sure you have installed MySQL version 5.5 or 5.6

I have been stuck in the login page as well. I configured in a completely
fresh system the new version of mifosx. However, it's not allowing to log
me in with the default user.
Is the given credentials still the same?
