Capture Failed (Image renaming)

Good evening,

I realized that the problem was related to the VMhost profile, so when I
checked I found that the VMhost profile user wasn’t set and I fixed it by
providing the correct user.

We are using Ubuntu 10.04 as the VM but the image capture didn’t went well
because the iamage capture try to copy the SSH daemon from /etc/ssh/sshd and
this path don’t exist under Ubuntu.

We switch the VM to Centos 5.5, and we tried the image captured again but it
failed because the image capture process can’t rename the VM in the VMware
repository.

We are absolutely in need of your assistance, please advise.

Re: Capture Failed (Image renaming)

Posted by Hicham Gibet Tani <hg...@gmail.com>.
Good morning,

The error output describes that the image captured failed because of the
process couldn't rename the vmdk file since the image with name “*
vmwarelinux-base9-v2*” already exist in data store path.

So what we need is to place the image in another path or rename it since we
are using the VCL in an testing environment.

I’m asking if somebody can confirm this.

Thank you.
