RE: Problem Download

Hi Brian.

A few more details will help us,

In the Source File Not Found message, the name of a file is given. It is valuable to know what file that is. If it happens again, please provide that name in any follow-up.

It may be that your download was incomplete.

Try this,

 1. In your browser, go to http://openoffice.org/download.

 2. You should see a download panel that lists Windows, English (or another language), and 4.1.1. Change the language setting if you want.

 3. Click the "Download full installation" button.

 4. On the next page that comes up, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING on that page. The download starts automatically. Wait for it.

5.When eventually a message comes up asking if you want to run or save the download, click Save just to see where it is going to put the file. Let it save where it recommends unless you have a different requirement. The Downloads folder on your computer is a good choice though.

 6. After the download, you should have a completion message that the download is successful. If there is an offer to Run, you can do that now.

 7. If you just accept the recommended options in the installation, it should all work.

Let us know how it goes.

 - Dennis
