Sitemap-Engine for 2.0.5

Is anyone against making the treeprocessor the default engine for 2.0.5?

Is anyone against removing the stylesheet engine? I don't think that we
have to keep it for compatibility issues.

Very good point, so we should fix it before release.

Thanks

There is an open issue with regard to nested actions in action-sets:

http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=9835

Since Vadim considered it as blocking for 2.1, it sure is blocking us
from changing the default processor let alone remove it.

Why should remove something from a branch which is concidered to be in a
bug-fixing state?
Can't we just leave it there?
And it'd be better to ask in Cocoon Users list, there can be a lot of people
using the old sitemap processor in production.

I am in favor of making the treeprocessor the default engine for 2.0.5.

Is there a diference? I thinked the use of that is transparently for the
user view. If this is true. I think you can remove it. What kind of
compatibiliy issue can raise the change?

Maybe there is only a sentimental issue from the author of the piece of
code. ;-)

Best Regards,

Antonio Gallardo.

+1 for the treeprocessor as default for 2.0.5

But maybe we should keep the compiled one some longer and log a big
warning that it is going to be removed? Something like a grace period?

Yes, exactly - ok, my words are a little bit misunderstandable. Yes,
I mean the compiling sitemap engine consisting mainly of a stylesheet.
This affects of course not the compilation engine for XSP.

By "the stylesheet engine" are you referring to the compiled sitemap
engine? (Not the XSLT processor.)
