I think I've found how to duplicate this issue.
I am running Google Chrome. I've found that if I click on a Processor and start it (via the context menu) and then stop it (via the context menu) and then click on the canvas, it does not deselect the Processor. But if I just click on a random Processor and then click on the canvas, it does deselect the Processor.
