A connection to the Database instance 'db' could not be created.

I am using Win98SE and j2sdk1.4.2. My autoexec.bat file is the following:

When I run startup.bat, I get many error messages:

So, you see I get a Server running message in the end. But when I try to run 
the command:

xindiceadmin ac -c /db -n addressbook

i get the following error:

ERROR : A connection to the Database instance 'db' could not be created. 
Error:
can't instantiate default ORB implementation com.inprise.vbroker.orb.ORB

I would be grateful if you could help me with this!! I am beginning to lose 
hope...
