[jira] [Created] (CAMEL-6090) Allow for streaming of remote file
content
David Valeri created CAMEL-6090:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Allow for streaming of remote file content
Key: CAMEL-6090
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-6090
Project: Camel
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: camel-core, camel-ftp
Reporter: David Valeri
Assignee: David Valeri
Fix For: 2.11.0
The FTP component supports two modes of operation: 1) Download the remote file into memory or 2) download the remote file into a working directory.
In some cases, it is undesirable to do either. For example, processing large files with sensitive information would lead one to avoid downloading into memory and storing the sensitive information on the local file system.
Support a streaming mode where the remote file resource is provided to the route as an InputStream.
