[jira] [Updated] (LOG4J2-450) Flag Disable Encoding for HTMLLayout

Sudharma Puranik updated LOG4J2-450:
------------------------------------

    Attachment: log4j.zip

Attached is the sample HTMLLayout which does not properly render the messages.

Also since I have some PRE Html tags which are always encoded by Appender and goes as &lt;PRE&gt; This is not desired since I have my customer xml dumps which I would want to add it inside <PRE></PRE>. There should be a way to disable the html encoding while writing to appender

> For HTMLLayout, I would like to add some customized html tags to render my logs, but since Log4j2 is encoding the events and writing it, while rendering the encoded values of the tags is causing the rendering uneven. Would it possible to provide a flag to enable or disable the html encoding and it would be upto the user discretion to use it.
