John Hawkins commented on AXISCPP-117:

OK, I know about handlers more now. I suggest we are not going to do more work on handlers until more people require them. Until that time I suggest we leave this issue open so we have a fix fo it.

Not sure what a global scope handler is? However, since this fix has not been incorporated are we going to do this?

The current Implementation is rather dirty. I don't have the time or knowledge to really incorporate this.

[jira] Commented: (AXISCPP-117) GlobalScopeHandler for Global Instant Instanciated WebServices

Posted by "Fred Preston (JIRA)" <ax...@ws.apache.org>.

Fred Preston commented on AXISCPP-117:
--------------------------------------

The handlers, esp. on the de-serialise side have access to the whole message, but then once the message has been read by the first handler, it is then lost to any subsequent/subordinate handlers not to mention the de-serialiser will not have access to the message and will fail... I think there are probably several JIRAs on this issue.

What ever the pros and cons of this issue, without significant code change to Axis, this problem is not going to be fixed unless we throw away the SAX parser approach and replace with the DOM model.
