Example of how the error is seen
1. Insert a Table of Content
2. Right-click on a page number field and click "Fields...".
3. Choose page number and add an offset of -1
4. Update the table of content
Result: mismatch between the true page number of at all sections and the page
number displayed in the table of content. Table of content does not adjust to
the offset of -1
Writer in running on a computer with Danish language and Windows 7 operating
system.

I can confirm the described behavior on Windows 7 in AOO 4.0.1 and OOo 3.0.0.
It is not a defect as the table of content shows the actual page number, but
not the content of a page number field.
It does not make sense to show the content of a page number field in the table
of content as there could be more than one page number field on the page - see
the attached sample text document (which I will attach soon).
