I've created the appropiate properties file for the spanish version (es) of the plugin so now you can add es to the locales list.
BTW somone should add the need for download and installation of the maven-skins module
since you need to
mvn install -DupdateReleaseInfo=true
the pkg in order to get your newly compiled version of the plugin to work.
