I agree that we need to make the JavaScript validators testable. However, 
rather than invoke the tests through a browser, it would be better to use a 
test framework. There are two that I know of, unfortunately both named JsUnit. 
I don't know which is better, but I know who to ask, so let me know if there is 
interest in pursuing this. Here are links to the two frameworks:
